William Lanting

William Lanting currently serves as Senior Director of Origination for Wilshire Quinn Capital. In this capacity, he oversees the origination of commercial real estate bridge lending opportunities for the Fund. Mr. Lanting has over 35 years’ experience in commercial real estate and commercial real estate lending. He began his career in the hotel industry in 1988 at Hotels of Distinction and then transitioned to Radisson Hotels and Wyndham Hotels. As Vice President at Hotels of Distinction, he purchased and oversaw a group of full-service hotels for the company’s investment fund, which was later sold to Starwood Lodging Trust as one of their first portfolio acquisitions. Mr. Lanting has gained valuable experience in the purchase, renovation, and operation of twenty-seven hotels throughout the United States. He joined Thorofare Capital in 2013 as a hospitality lending professional, where he was primarily responsible for new bridge loan originations. Following this appointment, he served as Vice President of Loan Originations at Partners Capital Finance and Chief Production Officer at District Capital. In these positions, he created and oversaw both firms’ lending divisions. Mr. Lanting and his teams have originated approximately $500 million in debt transactions over his career. Bill received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
